Supergiant Games, which previously brought us the critically-acclaimed Bastion and its followup Transistor , have announced their newest game to be demoed this coming weekend at PAX East.

Like its predecessors, Pyre emphasizes a distinctive art style and rich musical design, as we can see from the reveal trailer above. Here's what we know about the game so far, much of it via Supergiant's blogand official Twitterfeed:

Few game companies have cultivated a style as recognizable as Supergiant. Bastion -- the studio's debut title -- left a lasting impression on players and critics when it released in 2011. Its innovative design, in which every action the player took was creatively narrated and folded into a dense, quasi-Western fantasy story, left us eager to see where the company would go next. While Transistor did not reach quite the same critical groundswell when it arrived in 2014, it did a lot to galvanize the look and feel of a Supergiant game, threads we can see carrying over into Pyre .

" Pyre once again showcases our team's commitment to rich atmospheric presentation and storytelling," the company said in conjunction with the announcement. "We want to create a large cast of characters you can grow close to as you travel together across a strange and wondrous land."
