Xiaomi is expected to launch another smartphone, as early as next week! In apost, the company teased an image, which shows the聽back side of a smartphone, sporting a metal panel. Xiaomi also stated that the smartphone will sport a 5-inch display. However, no other specifications were shared.聽The device will most likely launch on 12 January.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 was last week sported on, offering a brief look at the smartphone. In terms of rumoured specifications, the device features a 5-inch聽HD聽resolution TFT display with a聽720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a聽1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. It will mostly feature an internal storage of 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is expected to pack in a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera聽and聽boot to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the MIUI V7 skinning on top.
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Mi 5 smartphone next month.聽Xiaomi鈥檚 co-founder and senior VP Liwan Jiang took to聽to confirm that the Mi5 will indeed come with Snapdragon 820 and has entered mass production as well. He also stated that聽the company will launch the Mi5 after the Chinese New Year which begins on聽February 8.
