Prima Games goes all out for Dark Souls 3 with plans to release a deluxe version of the game’s official strategy guide, complete with the series’ iconic Estus Flask.
With just over a month to go before Dark Souls 3 is released, promotional efforts for the game are starting to ramp up. Following PlayStation Japan’s announcement of the Japan-only PlayStation 4 console bundleearlier this week, strategy guide maker Prima Games has put together something special of their own for
Launching on the same day as the Dark Souls 3 North American release, Prima Games will release a deluxe edition of the Dark Souls 3 official strategy guide, which will come packaged with a host of additional memorabilia, including the series’ iconic drinkware, the Estus Flask. Fittingly named the Dark Souls 3 Estus Flask Edition, the 320-page hardcover strategy guide will come with a 192-page journal, an 8-inch sculpted metal bookmark modeled after The Wolf Knight’s greatsword, and of course, a resin recreation of the Estus Flask.
The Dark Souls 3 PlayStation 4 console bundle and the Estus Flask Edition of the strategy guide aren’t the only trinket-laden things that are available to Dark Souls 3 fans. For those not interested in a new PlayStation 4 or an Estus Flask, there’s also a choice between a Dark Souls 3 Collector’s Edition or a Prestige Edition, both of which are filled to the brim with Dark Souls goodies and special collectibles. With numerous promotional items and memorabilia-filled special editions planned for Dark Souls 3 , Bandai Namco aren’t holding back their efforts in getting the game into fans’ hands this time around, especially if Dark Souls 3 does indeed turn out to be the concluding title in the Dark Souls trilogy.
Not only are the promotional efforts going all out for Dark Souls 3 , it appears that From Software is leaving nothing on the table either when it comes to making the game as good as it can be. The recent release of new Dark Souls 3 gameplay footageand a number of awesome trailers has proven that the game will not only feature many more exceedingly difficult enemies, but it appears that Dark Souls 3 will look and play as well, or even better than anything that’s out right now.
While the Dark Souls 3 Estus Flask Edition and the numerous special editions of the game aren’t quite on the level of ‘s $10 million special edition, they’re all still something worth buying. If anything, this may be the last chance for fans to show their support for the Dark Souls trilogy if it indeed does conclude in a few weeks time.
