‘Batman: Arkham City’ GOTY Edition Reveals ‘Harley Quinn’s Revenge’ DLC
For nearly a month we’ve been covering various rumors and speculation surrounding potential story DLC, not just challenge packs and character skins, for one of 2011’s best games, Batman: Arkham City .
. After earning a coveted five-star reviewhere at Game Rant, the title went-on to record breaking sales– not to mention racking up plenty of industry awards.
Now, six months after the title first hit retailers, Rocksteady Studiosis giving late-to-the-game consumers a new reason to take a plungedive bomb and battle Arkham’s most dangerous inmates once again – since, on May 29th, the developer is set to release the Batman: Arkham City’ Game of the Year Edition . However, this time, Arkham City veterans also have reason to be excited – as, that same day, Rocksteady will unleash an all-new story mission for the game centered around fan-favorite villainess, Harley Quinn.
Initially thought to be a DLC centered around the Boy Wonder, Robin (which is still partly true), a late night tease over the weekend outed the possibility that the post-release content would also feature Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel– who, as detailed in the originalgame, fell in love with the Joker during a series of psychiatric evaluations she performed on the Clown Prince of Crime.
An iconic bat-villain since her introduction in Batman: The Animated Series , Harley Quinn has been a staple player in Rocksteady’s Batman games. Given the shocking ending of Batman: Arkham City , it’s only fitting that Quinn gets one last shot at taking down Batman.
Check out the trailer for the Batman: Arkham City’ Game of the Year Edition below – which features our first look at the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC:

Maps: Wayne Manor, Main Hall, Freight Train, Black Mask, The Joker’s Carnival, Iceberg Long, and Batcave Playable Characters: Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing Skins: 1970s Batsuit, Year One Batman, The Dark Knight Returns, Earth One Batman, Batman Beyond Batman, Animated Batman, Sinestro Corps Batman, Long Halloween Catwoman, Animated Catwoman, Animated Robin, Red Robin and Animated Nightwing
The Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC Pack is also included in the GOTY Edition free of charge – but, for returning Arkham City players, can also be purchased via the PSN and XBLA as a stand-alone download on May 29th.
According to the press release from Warner Bros. Interactive:
The Harley Quinn’s Revenge mission sends players back into Arkham City to face their final challenge as they interchange between playing as both Batman and Robin. Gamers must utilize each of the characters’ unique combat and investigative skills to uncover Harley’s vengeful plan and shut the gates on the urban mega-prison forever. In addition to experiencing a new storyline, fans can explore new environments and face-off against Harley’s all new gang of thugs.
While details on the content pack are still slim, it sounds as if Quinn might finally manage to pull one over on Batman – requiring Robin to save the day. Of course, considering the aftermath of Arkham City , it’s certainly possible that add-on will actually see Batman in a desperate attempt to save his loved ones from Quinn’s thirst for revenge.
We’ll certainly know more in the coming weeks. In the meantime, now is as good a time as ever to head back to Arkham City and polish-off the remaining Riddler trophiesyou’ve been avoiding.
