Almost immediately, fans jumped on the possibility of the next Fallout finally being revealed.
It quickly became evident that Bethesdahad other plans though, after posting a link to a countdown timervia its official Twitter account. Now that timer has expired and gamers have finally been given their first glimpse of the nuclear wasteland that awaits them in Fallout 4 .
The teaser site for the game went live prematurely, giving players the opportunity to sneak a peek at some teaser art for the forthcoming game. The art itself features the infamous armor from the Brotherhood of Steel, which is a rather iconic part of the series. Meanwhile, several other well-known properties of the franchise are scattered about the image, teasing a very familiar landscape for those anticipating the arrival of.
Despite initial reports that the game could be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, however, that doesn’t appear to be the case at this point in time. The trailer wraps up with listed platforms at the bottom, and those aforementioned past-gen systems are nowhere to be seen. It’s possible that Bethesda has plans to port the game over, but its focus on the visuals this time around is evident enough by the trailer – which means it could have passed on bringing the game to those pieces of hardware.
Aside from the graphics, the variation in the environment is also prominent during the brief glimpse that players were given. Just how much variation in landscape there is is unknown, but there’s sure to be even more of the title explained and explored in the coming weeks.
