2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class spy shots

Mercedes-Benz appears to have started initial road trials for an updated version of its C-Class.

A prototype has been spotted testing near Mercedes-Benz’s headquarters in Germany and reveals a revised headlight design.

The new headlights resemble the units found on the 2017 E-Classand likely incorporate Mercedes’ latest multi-beam LED technology. The S-Class flagship sedan is also about to get a revised headlight design.

We’re expecting more changes as development continues.

Recall, the current C-Class was all-new for the 2015 model yearso the updated version likely won’t be introduced until the 2019 model year. Of course, the revised headlights may simply be a running update for the 2018 model year.

A peek through the windows of this prototype reveals an unchanged dash design with an analog instrument cluster and infotainment screen tacked on the center of the dash, though this could eventually make way for the dual-screen dash of the E-Class and S-Class on more advanced prototypes. C-Class mules have already been spotted with the dual-screen dash.

We’ll update the story as soon as more is known. Currently, the updated C-Class is thought to be due for its reveal in late 2017 or early the following year.
