Music was known to be bringing support for podcasts soon. In October, the search giant has said it would be coming in the, and here it is!

In an announced via the OfficialAndroid blog, the company has announced a Podcast section for the web and also its Android app, but there is no word on the release for iOS platform yet. For now, it is rolling out to users in the US and Canada. Google hasn’t disclosed if or when it will be rolling out to other regions.

“Starting today on the web and rolling out on Android in the U.S. and Canada, we鈥檒l connect you with podcasts based on what you鈥檙e doing, how you鈥檙e feeling and what you鈥檙e interested in,” Google wrote in the blogpost.

Just like the contextual playlists for music, Google says it wants to make it聽easy to find the right podcast for users. “Try 鈥淟earning Something New鈥 to talk about at a dinner party and listen to our favorite episodes from Stuff You Should Know or How To Do Everything. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon by 鈥淕etting Lost in a Story鈥 with episodes from Radiolab or Reply All, or relax after a long day by 鈥淟aughing Out Loud鈥 to Marc Maron鈥檚 WTF or Chris Hardwick鈥檚 The Nerdist,” Google further states in the.

Users can聽subscribe聽to content and the last several episodes will be automatically downloaded on their device and聽they can even choose to be notified each time a new episode is released.
