Sony unveils new speakers, soundbar at CES 2016

At the ongoing CES, Sony has introduced two new speakers namely the Sony SRS-ZR7 and Sony SRS-ZR5. Sony has made the smaller version, the SRS-ZR5, which can be paired with the SRS-ZR7 for stereo sound as well. Both devices come equipped聽with an HDMI ARC port too. The devices are expected to be available globally in the first half of 2016.

These speakers can also be controlled via Sony’s SongPal app, which is currently available for Android and iOS.聽The聽Sony SRS-ZR7 supports high-res audio and can stream via Google Cast and Spotify Connect as well. On the other hand, the smaller Sony SRS-ZR5 comes with aforementioned streaming options and includes connectivity features such as Bluetooth and NFC.

The company also revealed聽new portable speakers, the Sony SRS-XB2, Sony SRS-XB3 which聽offer Bluetooth and NFC connectivity while the聽Sony GTK-XB7 offers music with聽party lights.

In addition, Sony also announced a new聽soundbar and sub-woofer, the聽HT-NT5 and HT-CT790. The former is said to offer a聽more immersive sound, while the Sony CT790 subwoofer will connect wirelessly聽to the soundbar.
